Former Crescenta Valley High baseball player Trevor Bell was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday by the Cincinnati Reds because of right-elbow inflammation.

Bell, a former All-Area Baseball Player of the Year and a first-round draft pick of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2005, has appeared in two games with the Reds this season.

He’s yielded five runs on five hits and two walks over 2/3 of an inning.

He allowed two runs (both earned) and four hits in 2/3 of an inning in Cincinnati’s 5-3 road loss against the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday.
