Four arrested at DUI checkpoint in Glendale
Four motorists were arrested Sunday night during a police crackdown on drugged and drunk driving, authorities said.
Three motorists were taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs while one was arrested for allegedly driving drunk at a sobriety checkpoint, according to Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
Police also arrested 13 drivers on suspicion of driving without a valid license, she added.
More than 1,500 vehicles drove through the checkpoint at Los Feliz Road and Gardena Avenue, but 124 only were screened, Lightfoot said.
Officers confiscated a weapon and towed five vehicles, she said.
