Glendale police on lookout for camera-theft suspect
Police are looking for a man who allegedly stole a surveillance camera that had filmed him standing outside a pet clinic early on Feb. 14.
The man was apparently loitering about 5:47 a.m. in the rear of Parkview Pet Clinic in the 1500 block of Canada Boulevard, according to Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
But then he spotted a mounted security camera, which happened to have filmed him.
That’s when police said he approached the camera, removed it and stole it.
While no similar thefts were reported that day in the neighborhood, Lightfoot said police are unclear about what he was doing in the area.
He was described as 22 to 25 years old, between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 10. Police said he had a thin build and wore a Los Angeles Dodgers’ baseball cap and backpack.
He apparently had a “unique stiff-legged walk.”
