Police are looking for two alleged robbers who tried but failed to snatch a purse from a 28-year-old pregnant woman near Harvard Mini-Park on Friday.

At about 9:45 p.m., the victim was returning to her home in the 400 block of West Harvard Street, said Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.

As she got out of her car, she noticed two young women, described as teenagers, loitering in the park, Lightfoot said.

The victim, who is six months pregnant, was walking toward her front door when the two young women came up from behind her and grabbed her purse, she said.

The victim held on tightly to her purse as she tried to defend herself and was pushed to the ground, Lightfoot said. One of the suspects also pulled her hair, she added.

The two females fled the scene as the victim yelled and swore at them, Lightfoot said.

The victim did not sustain any injuries in the incident.
