Glendale schools to offer free summer meals to children

Glendale Unified will offer free meals to children under age 18 at several schools this summer starting June 9.

Pacific Park, 501 S Pacific Ave., will provide free meals from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to all children in the community Monday through Friday through Aug. 1.

Glendale and Hoover high schools will offer free meals to its summer-school students from 10:10 to 10:30 a.m. and lunches to children not attending summer school from 11 to 11:30 a.m. on weekdays through July 11.

Glendale High is located at 1440 E Broadway, and Hoover High is located at 651 Glenwood Road.

Free meals will also be available during the same time span to children at Toll and Wilson middle schools on weekdays from 9:55 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. to summer-school students only and to the public from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m.

Toll is located at 700 Glenwood Road, and Wilson is located at 1221 Monterey Road.

Roosevelt Middle School, 222 E Acacia Ave., will offer free meals to summer-school students on weekdays between 10:25 and 10:45 a.m., while all children under 18 can have meals from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. through July 11.
