Undefeated mixed-martial-arts standout Marina Shafir will return to competition inside the caged confines of Lights Out Promotions’ Chaos at the Casino 5 on Aug. 10 at Hollywood Park and Casino.

Shafir (1-0), “The Supernova from Moldova” who was 5-0 as an amateur and has finished all of her fights via submission, is slated to take on Nikita Netjes (0-2) following the former’s successful professional debut in April at Chaos at the Casino 4.

Shafir trains alongside UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and fellow UFC fighters Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke at the Glendale Fighting Club.

Glendale Fighting Club’s Alfred Kashakyan (2-1), Vardan Sholinian (2-1) and Levon Sargsyan (MMA debut) are also set for action on the 12-fight MMA card.

The card will also feature the MMA debut of “The Golden Girl” Jemyma Betrian, a 115-pound fighter who holds a 35-2-1 kickboxing record and is 3-0 as a boxer.

Heavyweight Arsen Galstyan (2-2) of Glendale’s Main Event Gym is also scheduled to fight.

The main event will feature Chris Saunders (11-6) facing off with Dominic Clark (6-3), while heavyweights Tony Lopez (34-14) and UFC veteran Chase Gormley (9-4) will toe the line, as well.

The card is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
