Two Glendale sisters were arrested for alleged drug possession after police conducted a probation compliance check at their residence on Wednesday.

At 1:30 p.m., officers from the AB109 Task Force went to the home of Teni Khosrovian, 23, and Taline Khosrovian, 19, in the 110 block of San Rafael Avenue, said Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.

The sisters were detained as officers searched their home and later found a brown substance resembling heroin, Lightfoot said.

Also found was a straw containing heroin residue and a cellphone that belonged to Teni Khosrovian with text messages indicating narcotics sales, she said.

A drug evaluation also determined both sisters were under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the compliance check, Lightfoot said.

They were arrested and charged with various narcotics violations.

Taline Khosrovian was released on $35,000 bail.

Teni Khosrovian had a prior drug arrest in June and is not being allowed to post bail, according to the Inmate Information Center for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
