Mule crossing at Los Angeles Aqueduct to close streets

Against the mighty Sierra Nevada mountain range, 100 mules approach the diversion gates of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, North of Independence, Ca. in the Owens Valley. The journey is choreographed to coincide with the 100th birthday of the L.A. Aqueduct and to honor the 'mule power' that helped built it. Photographed on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013.
