It was another win and another first-round submission for Glendale’s Sevak Magakian on Thursday night at San Manuel Indian Casino and Bingo, as the local mixed-martial-arts fighter defeated Joe Condon at King of the Cage’s “Mercenaries” event.

Magakian (12-3) won his fifth straight bout, with three out of the last five coming by first-round stoppage. Overall, the Glendale Main Event Gym-trained fighter has collected nine submission wins with all of them coming in the first round.

The former “The Ultimate Fighter” contestant also broke the three-fight winning streak of Condon (9-4), as he notched the submission with an arm lock out of side control in under two minutes, according to the account of Magakian’s cornerman Karen Darabedyan, also a Glendale fighter.
