Tologs take third in Stanford Invitational

GIRLS’ CROSS COUNTRY

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in Stanford Invitational: The Tologs performed well in the Division 4 5000-meter race in Palo Alto on Saturday morning, taking third with a team score of 170 points (100:22).

Senior Paulina Antaplyan led the way for Sacred Heart, finishing 10th overall in 19 minutes 7 seconds.

Rounding out the pack for the Tologs were senior Stephanie Vargas (16th, 19:30), sophomores Maddie Peterson (41st, 20:22) and Riley Gilmartin (51st, 20:40) and junior Gabby Fitzpatrick (52nd, 20:43).

Flintridge Prep in Brentwood Invitational: The Rebels took fourth in Division 4 Saturday morning at Brentwood School behind a pair of outstanding performances from sophomores Sarah Yoho (3rd, 19:07) and Kate Evans (19:21).

Grace Broyles, Marissa Wang and Oonah McDowell rounded out the Rebels’ top five.

BOYS’ CROSS COUNTRY

Stanford Invitational: Flintridge Prep (209 points, 85:33) took fifth in the Division 4 4K race Saturday morning at Palo Alto behind a 33rd-place effort from senior James Bradley in 16:57.

The Rebels’ top-five was rounded out by senior Eli Weinstein (35th, 16:58), junior Aaron Sugimoto (41st, 17:08), senior Casey Thompson (49th, 17:14) and junior Elias Ellison (51st, 17:16).

St. Francis finished 14th in the Division 3 4K with a team score of 458 (87:14) led by a 19th-place finish from senior Collin Peterson in 16:21.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Flintridge Prep 11, La Cañada 7: Rebels’ No. 1 singles Andrea Kevakian swept, as did Kira Lee and her partner Roya Gheissari and Abby Letts and her partner Shelby Wax in doubles to help Prep (5-2) beat the Spartans in a nonleague match on Friday.
