Times Community News receives record 16 nominations in statewide contest

Share

I’m proud to announce that the Glendale News-Press, Burbank Leader, La Cañada Valley Sun and Pasadena Sun received nominations in 16 categories in the annual California Newspaper Publishers Association contest. As far as I can tell, this is a record for us, and I’m pretty excited about it.

The nominations mean the papers will receive either first or second place in those categories, with the winners to be announced May 5 at the CNPA conference in San Jose.

The nominations run the gamut, from news to investigative, features to photo, and columns to sports coverage. Also, three of the four papers received finalist nominations for their respective websites. Finally, I want to note that the Pasadena Sun received a nomination for the CNPA’s highest award in its category: General Excellence.

This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff. I’m proud to be a part of this organization. Congratulations!
