Youths from intervention program tour Angel Stadium

Community Service Programs, a nonprofit organization that provides counseling and support to struggling Orange County families, gave people involved with its Huntington Beach Youth Shelter and an outreach component at Ocean View High School the chance to meet the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

About 25 youths and staff involved with the shelter's intervention and prevention programs toured Angel Stadium in early May accompanied by Angels Chairman Dennis Kuhl, who spoke about job readiness and the Angels organization.

The Huntington Beach Youth Shelter provides emergency shelter to homeless, abused and struggling youths ages 11 to 17and focuses on reuniting children with their families and helping to find lasting solutions.

The outreach component of the shelter includes presentations and skill-building workshops.
