Three teens arrested in thefts from cars

Fountain Valley police arrested three teens from Huntington Beach on suspicion of petty theft and possession of stolen property.

Jesse Wynn, 18, who was on probation, was taken into custody Monday and is being held in Orange County Jail. Two 17-year-olds were released to the custody of an adult, according to a Fountain Valley police news release.

Officers responded to the area of Maple Street and Daisy Avenue at 4:16 a.m. Monday after receiving reports of two suspicious suspects checking car door handles, according to the release.

Police secured the area and apprehended Wynn and another suspect as they were trying to flee, the release said. The third teen was located shortly after. A navigational system and other items were in their possession, the release said.

Police said items had been taken from multiple unlocked vehicles.
