Hoag opens urgent care facility in Huntington

Hoag Health Center in Huntington Beach has opened an urgent care facility.

Hoag Medical Group doctors are staffing the latest feature at the recently expanded medical facility, attending to various non-life-threatening injuries, according to the hospital's website.

The facility at 19582 Beach Blvd. is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays.

"It is important to recognize that not all medical situations require an emergency room visit, but some issues simply can't wait until your primary care doctor can see you," Hoag President and Chief Executive Robert Braithwaite said in a news release. "Should you get injured playing softball or have a cough that's keeping you up, you have a place to go in your own community to serve your needs."
