Crime blotter: Wedding band, iPad stolen in Fernside Drive burglary

Theft: 1929 Verdugo Blvd., before 9:30 a.m. Patio heaters taken from North Shore Burgers.
Burglary: 1200 block of Fernside Drive, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. DVD player, digital camera, Balenciaga purse, a men’s watch, an iPad, a wedding band and Nintendo system taken.
Burglary: 5000 block of Commonwealth Avenue, 10:46 p.m. Glass-paneled door smashed, drawers opened. Undetermined if items were taken.

Drug use: Foothill Boulevard and Ocean View Boulevard, 1:50 a.m. A man spotted walking on Foothill Boulevard admitted to having used methamphetamine.

Identity theft: 300 block of Evelyn Street, 6 p.m. An ATM card was used without authorization to buy fishing equipment.
Theft: 2400 block of Cross Street, 11 a.m. Mattress cover, toy box and bassinet taken from home UPS delivery.

Drug possession: 2900 Community Ave., 1 p.m. Crescenta Valley High School student had marijuana in a backpack.
Dec. 13
Attempted burglary: 200 block of Teasley Avenue, 5:50 a.m. A man attempted to enter a home through a locked kitchen door, waking a resident. Deputies found the man in a car with drug paraphernalia, three driver’s licenses and two bank cards not belonging to the suspect.
