Crime blotter: Driver of Cadillac found with empty beer cans

Dec. 17

Theft: 4600 block of Castle Road, 4:11 p.m. Two packages, one containing a camping knife and one containing a Wedgewood china gravy boat, taken from front porch. Surveillance footage shows a man in a blue Honda Accord taking the packages.

Dec. 23

Vehicle burglary: 1700 block of La Barranca Road, before 7:30 a.m. Four cars entered, center consoles and glove compartments ransacked. No loss from three cars, $4 in change taken from one car.

Dec. 24

Evading an officer, DUI: Foothill (210) Freeway eastbound at Berkshire Drive, 1:06 p.m. Driver of a blue Cadillac spotted weaving in and out of traffic on 210 at more than 100 miles an hour exits the freeway, fails to stop for police and leads a chase that ends on Glenrose Avenue in Pasadena. Several empty beer cans found in the car.

Dec. 17

Theft: 2200 block of Montrose Avenue, between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. An aluminum mailbox unit containing six mailboxes taken from a condo development.

Theft: 2400 block of Florencita Avenue, between 3:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Four tires with chrome rims and a television monitor taken from an apartment carport.

Burglary: 2600 block of Timberlake Drive, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Bedroom window smashed, two iPads, a flat-screen TV and a laptop computer taken.

Dec. 21

Vandalism: 2100 block of Crescent Avenue, before 7:20 a.m. Paint thrown on hood, door and windshield of a BMW X5.

Dec. 23

Vehicle burglary: 4400 block of Ocean View Boulevard, before 11:30 a.m. Xbox 360 gaming console, cellphone charger and iPad charger taken.
