La Cañada Crime: Multiple methamphetamine arrests

June 10

Drug possession: 1800 block of Foothill Boulevard, 4 p.m. A 20-year-old Glendale man, a 20-year-old La Cañada Flintridge man and an 18-year-old San Pedro woman were arrested for possessing methamphetamine. Four marijuana pipes and empty green cylinder containers were also found the vehicle. The group was initially stopped for speeding.

June 7

Vandalism: 1600 block of Fairmount Avenue, 3:30 p.m. A man heard glass breaking and saw a 16-year-old boy with a 36-inch-long crow bar in his hand walking away from the man’s vehicle. The boy was detained for felony vandalism and cited.

June 7

Possession of a controlled substance/driving on a suspended license: Foothill Boulevard and Oak Grove Drive, 7:30 p.m. A 29-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested and found to have methamphetamine in a bag.

June 6

Vehicle burglary: 1700 block of Foothill Boulevard, between 6:45 and 7:15 p.m. Third-row seats stolen from vehicle. Door handles and lock damaged.

June 5

Peeping: 521 Foothill Blvd., 11 a.m. A 48-year-old man said that an employee of Ralphs was recording him using the restroom with a cell phone held over the door of the stall. When contacted by the store manager, the employee denied the allegations.

May 31-June 1

Petty theft: 900 block of Valley Crest Street, between 9 p.m. on May 31 and 7 p.m. on June 1. Wallet stolen at his home while acquaintance was visiting. The next day, the man received a call from his bank to notify him that his debit card had been used fraudulently twice.

May 27

Vehicle burglary: 1400 block of Descanso Drive, between 7:35 and 8:45 a.m. A woman’s purse, iPhone 5 and wallet were stolen from her locked vehicle. Two of her credit cards were used after the incident, including a transaction at the La Cañada Flintridge Trader Joe’s store.

June 5

Drug possession: 4500 block of N. Briggs Avenue between 2:30 and 3 p.m. A 47-year-old woman from Arizona was stopped by an officer after he noticed that she was scratching herself and couldn’t stand still. The woman possessed a small glass pipe and methamphetamine in a plastic bag and was arrested for possessing the drugs and being under the influence.

June 2-4

Petty theft: 2700 block of Brierhaven Drive, between 12 p.m. on June 2 and 9 a.m. on June 4. Black leather wallet stolen from unlocked vehicle.

Montrose

June 9-10

Business burglary: 4105 Ocean View Blvd., before 6:55 a.m. on June 10. Glass door at Steur’s Salon smashed, cash register opened. An unknown amount of property was stolen.
