DULUTH, Minn., Nov. 18 — Supporters of changes in the federal farm bill moving through Congress who want to see provisions supporting small, local farms will hold a forum Tuesday at Kirby Student Center at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
The event, set for 7 p.m. in the Kirby Ballroom, will feature Duluth Mayor Don Ness, Jamie Harvey of the Institute for a Sustainable Future as well as local labor leaders and farmers.
Officials from U.S. Sens. Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar’s office also are expected to attend. Klobuchar, who serves on the Senate Agriculture Committee, also has been invited.
