PERRYVILLE — Larry Davis Bottoms, 58, of Danville, formerly of Perryville, died Sunday in Danville. He was the husband of Barb Bottoms.
Born July 19, 1952, in Marion County, he was a son of the late Arbor D. and JoAnna Yankey Bottoms.
Larry was a senior manager of the Danville manufacturing operation for Intelligrated. He was a member of Perryville Baptist Church and a Perryville High School graduate. He also attended the University of Kentucky.
Larry was an avid University of Kentucky sports fan. He loved fishing, golfing, being the catcher for fast pitch softball and playing card games. When playing cards, fishing, playing softball or golfing, the competitive spirit he had would come out. The beach was one of Larry’s favorite places, particularly Hilton Head Island. Above the love of his hobbies was the love he had for his wife, children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Barb, Larry is survived by two daughters, Tonya (Juan Carlos) Gonzalez of Lexington and Suzanna Brumfield of Perryville; a son, Robbie (Molly) Bottoms of Lexington; and a special sister, Sue (Harvey) Bottoms of Perryville. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Reese Brumfield, Diego and Mia Gonzalez and Madeline Bottoms.
Larry was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Jo Bottoms.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Perryville Baptist Church by the Rev. Doug Davis, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
