Mary Lou Whitaker
STANFORD — Mary Lou Whitaker, 67, of Louisville, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at St. Mary's and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville.
Born Sept. 3, 1945, in Hazard, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Vernie and Verna Dixon Caudill. She was a librarian at Hillview Public Library in Louisville for 15 years. She was of the Old Regular Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Hansford Whitaker of Louisville; a son, Leander Whitaker (Teresa) of Pekin, Ind.; four brothers, Alan Caudill of Humbel, Texas, Hansel Caudill of Hopewell, Va., Kenneth Ray Caudill of Stanford and Russell Caudill of Lancaster; two sisters, Veneda Phillips of Stanford and Geneva McKinney of Hamilton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Bell.
Funeral services will be 3 pm Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Spurlin Funeral Home. Bro. Haston Whitaker and Bro. Bert Caudill will officiate the service. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery, Waynesburg.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel in Stanford.
