Timothy David “Tim” Abbott, 45, of Danville, passed away Tuesday.
Born Nov. 11, 1965, in Carrollton, he was the son of Graham L. Abbott of Whitesburg and Lou Ann Jones Abbott of Danville. He was a graduate of Paintsville High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University.
He worked at the Burgin Independent School System where he also served as an assistant basketball coach. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by Kellie Goble Abbott; a brother, Stephen Paul Abbott; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Centenary Christian Life Center on Perryville Road in Danville by Dr. Quentin Scholtz. Burial will follow in the Bedford, Ky., Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be member of the Burgin Basketball Team.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the Christian Life Center.
