    <b>One thing to know about our book club:</b> We have been meeting once a month since 1995 at Woodson Regional Library and have never cancelled a meeting. We mostly read contemporary, popular works, but we've been known to read older works that were recommended to us. We pick our books by drawing the names of authors or book titles from a hat. We sometimes will choose two books to discuss in a month. To cut back on cost, we utilize the hold system of the Chicago Public Library and have received much cooperation from the librarians at Woodson in securing the works to be discussed. The librarians will often monitor our book discussions.
