The status of Ravens rookie backup running back Bernard Pierce remains in doubt for Sunday's AFC championship game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
Pierce is dealing with a nagging bruised right knee he aggravated against the Denver Broncos.
After not practicing Thursday, Pierce wasn't at practice during the portion open to reporters Friday.
"I'm all right," Pierce said Thursday in the Ravens' locker room.
One source with knowledge of the situation predicted that Pierce will play despite the injury because of his toughness and threshold for pain.
Pierce was limping noticeably against the Denver Broncos last Saturday, and was limited to 14 rushing yards on five carries.
Meanwhile, rookie cornerback Asa Jackson isn't practicing after straining his hamstring covering a kickoff against the Broncos and has been sidelined this week in practice.
"It's getting better every day," Jackson said. "I'm just trying to stay on top of it. It's all right. Hopefully, I'll be ready for Sunday."
