Pictures: Baltimore's Checkered Flag Girls
As roving ambassadors for Labor Day weekend's Baltimore Grand Prix, the Checkered Flag Girls will be appearing throughout the area in the weeks leading up to the event. With hundreds of thousands of car-crazed visitors expected for the three-day event, the Checkered Flag Girls may have their work cut out for them, familiarizing newcomers with the city and ensuring Baltimore lives up to its nickname of "Charm City."

What do you do when you're not a Checkered Flag Girl?: Hospital worker, nursing student at Harford Community College, plays soccer.
Were you a racing fan before you became a Checkered Flag Girl?: "I wasn't. I was more of a dirt bike racing fan. Then I learned a lot about this, and I'm actually very interested in it now."
Favorite thing about Baltimore: "The Ravens and the Orioles."
What would you say to a first-time visitor to Charm City?: "Go to the Inner Harbor. There are a lot of nice shops there."
