Pictures: Baltimore's Checkered Flag Girls
As roving ambassadors for Labor Day weekend's Baltimore Grand Prix, the Checkered Flag Girls will be appearing throughout the area in the weeks leading up to the event. With hundreds of thousands of car-crazed visitors expected for the three-day event, the Checkered Flag Girls may have their work cut out for them, familiarizing newcomers with the city and ensuring Baltimore lives up to its nickname of "Charm City."
Here's a look at some of the 13 young women who have been chosen.

What do you do when you're not a Checkered Flag Girl?: Estimating coordinator for a mechanical contractor
Were you a racing fan before you became a Checkered Flag Girl?: "I am now."
Favorite thing about Baltimore: "It's probably the views and the crabs."
What would you say to a first-time visitor to Charm City?: "Definitely go to Canton, try Mama's. Go the aquarium and the science center, for sure. And go to a ballgame, the Orioles. I know the Orioles sometimes don't do so well, but the park is like no other."
