It's pretty amazing how the Orioles infield has morphed from a defensive disaster to one of the main reasons why the club got out of Detroit with two victories. Since Omar Quintanilla and Manny Machado were inserted into the mix, the club's overall defense has improved dramatically. Offensively, both Quintanilla and Machado cooled off considerably this week, but first baseman Mark Reynolds (pictured) picked up the slack with one of his best week-long performances of the year. He batted .400 with three homers and seven RBIs and continues to look good at first base. Overall, O's infielders batted a combined .247 with four homers and 10 RBIs.
