Annual breakfast Anne Arundel Community College hosts the 32nd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, in the David S. Jenkins Gymnasium on the Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway. The event honors community members who emulate King's vision and will also single out children in the Visionary Kids Contest. Lecture series The Annapolis Maritime Museum's annual winter lecture series continues at 7 p.m. with Jan Miles' talk on "Reliving Bicentennial History in the Pride of Baltimore Schooners." Book sale The Parole Rotary Books for International Goodwill Project will hold a book sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2000 Capital Drive in Annapolis. More than 80,000 new and used books of all kinds will be on sale. Prices are $1.50 for hardbacks, $1 for paperbacks, or fill a grocery bag for $30. Free cookbooks.
