An Amber Alert issued across seven Northern California counties for an abducted 11-month old boy has been cancelled, authorities said Thursday.
William Brown was found outside of a Big Lots in Redwood City on Thursday afternoon, San Francisco officials said. The baby’s grandmother, Phoebe Haynes, 44, was detained.
Brown was abducted about 8 a.m. in San Francisco, officials said. The Amber Alert was issued before noon for the following counties: San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa, Solano, Santa Clara and Alameda.
It was cancelled a few hours later when Haynes was detained after a witness reported seeing her and the baby at a liquor store in San Mateo. The...
