Eight candidates vie for three Lake School Board openings

Budget constraints, class-size compliance and Superintendent Susan Moxley's leadership of the district are some of the key issues in three School Board races involving eight candidates. Incumbents Bill Mathias and Tod Howard are seeking re-election. Longtime board member Kyleen Fischer had planned to run again but withdrew in June, citing a health scare. Races are nonpartisan and all voters can cast ballots. Candidates serve countywide but run from a district under a system to make sure representation is spread around the county.
