The Lakers are worth $1.35 billion, at least according to the Forbes.com annual NBA team valuations, released on Wednesday. Second only to the New York Knicks ($1.4 billion), the Lakers have climbed 35% from a year ago on the heels of their 25-year, $5-billion television deal with Time Warner Cable. According to Forbes, the Lakers earned $122 million last season from Time Warner Cable in their first year with the network, more than 20 times that of teams such as the Milwaukee Bucks and Charlotte Bobcats.
