When Mt. Hebron track coach Teyarnte Carter spoke to the incoming freshmen at the class of 2017 orientation, all the young faces turned and looked at one tall kid as she talked about the recent boys state championship team. Everyone knew Darnell Pratt was the fastest eighth grader and that he would be a cornerstone athlete for the program for years to come.
