Chicago Shakespeare Theater announces 'Sunday in the Park,' Moliere stars

Jason Danieley, who appeared on Broadway in "Candide," "Curtains" and as a replacement cast member in "Next to Normal," will star in Gary Griffin's upcoming Chicago Shakespeare Theater production of "Sunday in the Park with George." His co-star will be Carmen Cusack, who has appeared as Elphaba in the touring production of "Wicked."

"Sunday in the Park" begins Sept. 26 on Navy Pier.

Meanwhile, the Stratford Shakespeare Festival favorites Ben Carlson and Deborah Hay (who are married) will star in Barbara Gaines' December production of "The School for Lies," a Moliere Adaptation by David Ives. Greg Vinkler, a longtime favorite at this theater, is also slated to be in the cast.

The Chicago-based actors Heidi Kettenring, Sean Fortunato and Kevin Gudahl will appear in both of these productions.

Others in the "Sunday" cast include Ora Jones, Linda Stephens, Rachel Cantor, McKinley Carter, Derek Hasenstab, Michael Aaron Lindner, William Travis Taylor, Elizabeth Lanza, Ben Magnuson and Madison Olszewski. Musical direction is by Brad Haak.
