For those who have followed the success of columnist Mary Schmich this year, here’s a glimpse inside the newsroom and a look at the finishing touches placed on her Pulitzer plaque.
Earlier this year, Mary won the Pulitzer Prize for commentary. We reported the story that day.
In the lobby of the Chicago Tribune newsroom, we have plaques attributed to Tribune journalists and previous Pulitzer winners. This week Mary’s plaque was posted. She is the Chicago Tribune’s 26th Pulitzer Prize winner.
