Ashley Pletcher and Alex Caton have been chosen to represent Meyersdale Area High School at the February meetings of the Meyersdale Lions Club.
Ashley is the daughter of Sanford Pletcher and Mary Jones. Her school activities include National Honor Society, science club, president of Students Against Destructive Decisions Club, vice president of prom committee and caption of cheerleading.
Out of school, Pletcher volunteers at the local playground, the middle school office during the summer and junior high volleyball team. She received honors as a three-year varsity letterman in cheerleading, honor roll and the outstanding physics award. Her hobbies include cheerleading, traveling, collecting snow globes and spending time with friends.
Following graduation, Pletcher plans to attend either California University of Pennsylvania or Frostburg State University and major in chemistry.
Alex is the son of Rick and Diane Caton of Meyersdale. His school activities include football, basketball, baseball, National Honor Society, Meyersdale Church of the Brethren youth, jazz band and concert band.
Following graduation, Caton plans to join a branch of the Armed Forces.
