Regarding Alana Diehl's letter to the editor on Sept. 18.
Alana Diehl seems to believe that if you are not for President Obama it is because he is black. Could it be that we do not agree with his politics. When Lynn Swan ran against Ed Rendell for governor — I voted for Mr. Swan — I was a registered Democrat at the time and have since changed my registration because I did not like what I was seeing and hearing from the Democrats. And if Herman Cain would have gotten the GOP nomination I would be voting for him. News flash both Mr. Swan and Mr. Cain are black. (I did not vote for Obama).
President Bush was in the White House in September of 2008 during the financial crash. This is true. But may I remind you that Congress and Senate at that time were majority seated with Democrats. You are right. They were a do nothing Congress and if they refused to work with Obama, it was his own party refusing. A president cannot single-handedly pass a budget without the act of Senate and Congress. And under Obama for the past four years our debt has grown more than all the presidents put together.
Obama has snubbed Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu more than once. I believe he should be meeting with Mr. Netanyahu instead of David Letterman, Beyoncé or The View. He's someone trying to achieve popularity instead of being a man of principle and setting priority as our leader.
The Koch brothers have the right and freedom to advocate, organize and speak for what they believe. Just as money man, George Soros, and the Hollywood celebrities do for Obama. Is George Soros an American? And I'm still not convinced Obama's birth certificate is the real thing!
Good Christian family men do not advocate late term abortion or abortion at any state of development. And let's call it what it is ... "Murder of the unborn Human's." But do not kill the little three inch minnow that some how gets into the irrigation ditches of the California farmer's crops and ends up dying. Solution cut the water off to the crops and allow the little fishes the "right" to life. Never mind that the farmer, "who built that farm," is trying to make a living for his own family and help feed the nation. Let the man farm; let the miners — mine; let the drillers — drill! And never mind that by abortion we have thrown a whole generation of people away since 1973. People who may well have been in the work force and some may have held the key to a cure for cancer or any other terminal illness. "A human life is a terrible thing to waste!"
You are right this is the most important election for us. I hope we get a leader that knows how to do work hard, sacrifice; is a person of character, conscience, principle, morality and humanity. I don't see these in Obama.
Thank you! And may God help us.
