The Lavansville/Bakersville Lutheran Parish will be celebrating the sixth Sunday of Easter.
Mt. Calvary in Lavansville begins worship at 9 a.m.
Mt. Zion in Bakersville begins worship at 10:30 a.m.

The Rev. John Stoner's message this week at the Middlecreek Church of the Brethren will be "Mary's Son" in celebration of Mother's Day. The Rev. Linda Stoner will serve as worship leader and also conduct teen church.
On June 16 the congregation will be volunteering their services at the Somerset County Humane Society. Sponsors are being sought for this event.
Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. The church is at 226 Middlecreek Road, Rockwood.
The Geiger Church meets for Bible study each Sunday during the Sunday school hour beginning at 9:30 a.m. There are classes for all ages. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Gerald Deffenbaugh will bring the morning message. Dorothy Deffenbaugh will tell the children's story. The congregation will celebrate Mother's Day. The service has been prepared by a special committee.
The men's fellowship will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday for a work night. Wednesday there will be quilting all day. The children's choir rehearses at 6:30 p.m. and the church choir practices at 7:30 p.m. The church choir will celebrate May birthdays following practice.
The senior citizens will meet at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Also on Thursday Kids Klub and the CBYF will meet at 6:30 p.m.
Geiger Church is 2 1/2 miles north of Somerset, just off of Route 281, in the village of Geiger.
The Christadelphians meet at 176 Beckner Lane, Boswell.
On Sundays they have a 10 a.m. Bible study class and an 11 a.m. memorial meeting. For directions call 814-629-5289.
