Turkeyfoot fundraiser
CONFLUENCE — More than $1,440 was raised in the Super Bowl Sunday fundraiser sponsored by the Turkeyfoot Athletic Boosters.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Turkeyfoot athletic programs. In addition, each student-athlete who helped with the fundraiser and concession stand will be given $100 toward the purchase of a letter jacket.
The top prize winner was Deneane Armel who won a new TV.
Windber 49, North Star 22
WINDBER — Joe Cominsky scored a game-high 20 points and Justin Vasas added 13 to highlight Windber's 49-22 victory over North Star in junior high boys basketball Friday.
Dalton Lepley led North Star with 11 points.
Windber (9-4) travels to Hope for Hyndman on Tuesday.
