In a battle of fire and ice, New York City firefighters have been trying to tame a warehouse fire in Brooklyn for 14 hours, even as they cope with freezing temperatures that have left their hoses coated with ice. The blaze was reported at 6:28 a.m. Saturday, according to Firefighter Danny Glover with the Fire Department of New York, and it was still raging at 8:30 p.m. local time. There were no injuries reported, he said. "It looks like the whole building is going to be gone because of the fire," Glover told the Los Angeles Times.
