Metro train strikes, critically injures pedestrian in Exposition Park

Service on the Metro’s Expo Line was briefly stopped Tuesday morning after a pedestrian was struck and critically injured by an eastbound train, authorities said. The crash occurred at Arlington Avenue just before 10:30 a.m., said Metro spokeswoman Kim Upton. The train was subsequently stopped between the Western and Crenshaw stations, she said, and buses were sent to pick up passengers. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
