It's been a pretty big week for York High golfer CJ Dreyfuss, and not just because he was the top individual in Bay Rivers District matches at The Hamptons and and Kiln Creek. Dreyfuss has committed to a scholarship at Division II Pfeiffer University in North Carolina that will pay about half of his expenses.

Dreyfuss, a medalist or co-medalist in three Bay Rivers District matches this season, finished the regular season with a 75.06 average per 18 holes, about 1/4 stroke per round off of the top average in the district. He will play at Pfeiffer for Elliott Gealy, a former Clemson golfer who spent several years on the PGA Tour.

Dreyfuss is the second York athlete to commit to an athletic scholarship in the past week. Brandon Harvell, a standout on the Falcons baseball team, committed last week to play for Longwood University.
