The Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Boise will return to Naval Station Norfolk on Thursday after spending seven months at sea, the Navy announced Tuesday.

The submarine steamed more than 37,000 nautical miles during its deployment, visiting ports in Bergen, Norway; Faslane, Scotland and Lisbon, Portugal. It spent time in the European Command area of responsibility.

The Boise is commanded by Cmdr. Brian Sittlow. It has a crew of 15 officers and 128 enlisted sailors.
