    A bill in the legislature would raise the minimum hourly wage in  Connecticut from $8.25 to $9 on July 1 and to $9.75 a year later. It also calls for automatic raises tied to the Consumer Price Index. The Connecticut Business and Industry Association opposes the bill, saying it would discourage hiring.
