  1. Sleeping Beauty at The Sherman Playhouse

    Sherman? Where's that? Perched up at the tippity-top of Fairfield County, Sherman quietly observes its more active southern neighbors (like Danbury) most of the year, but occasionally its residents throw an event of their own. The Sherman Playhouse's version of <em>Sleeping Beauty </em>isn't what you'd expect, presented as a Panto in the British style, meaning it's got a vaudevillian sensibility, contemporary references and a hefty dose of audience participation that combine to keep well worn stories like this one from becoming stale. But a visit to the town itself seems just as interesting to us. With a population of only 3,581, its residents have included the likes of Disney CEO Bob Iger, Daryl Hall and Rob Zombie, meaning there's got to be something awesome (and expensive) about the place. (Do you think Daryl Hall and Rob Zombie ever party together?)
