  3. Hero hassle: How do stars reply to costume criticism?

Nothing gets nerds riled up more than debating the authenticity of how their favorite comic book characters translate to the big screen. You know, nitpicky things such as, does the hero’s suit have the same flexibility as in Issue No. 14? Is the headband the correct scarlet red, not fire-engine red? These little things are taken so serious in the comic book world that Anne Hathaway—Catwoman in the next Batman flick—felt the need to publicly defend her new costume. How have other superheroes/supervillains-to-be taken on their mortal enemies: the blogosphere? Let’s use our X-ray vision (and Google skills) to find out. ARIEL@TRIBUNE.COM | @MISSARIEL

The TV Guy - Orlando Sentinel
But the opening sketch, a spoof of Gov. Rick Perry's brain freeze at a Republican presidential debate, wasn't as funny as the real thing. You knew that one was coming, but "SNL" couldn't rise above expectations. Still, Bill Hader worked hard as Perry....

This adaptation, based on the novel by Kazuo Ishiguro, takes us through an alternate universe set in the UK during the '80s and '90s. We meet three clones closely linked by their shared upbringing at a boarding school for their kind. At 18, Kathy H (Carey Mulligan) and friends, Ruth (Keira Knightley) and Tommy (Andrew Garfield), move into cottages with other clones. Ruth and Tommy become lovers while Kathy sees other clones through the grisly donation process. As all three await the "completion of their donation cycles," none rails against the unfairness, nor attempts to run away. The rules of this universe drains the life from a tale that is twist on both "Blade Runner," and "The Island," but that lacks the excitement of either. DVD or Blu-ray features: The secrets of Never Let Me Go, The director's on-set photography, Tommy's art, National donor program &amp; Hailsham campaign graphics, English, French or Spanish language tracks, widescreen.</span>

Frankly My Dear - Orlando Sentinel
