Freaking crazy (in a good way), Ryan Murphy's second installment of his super-dark anthology has included some of the most remarkably tense and weird scenes on TV this year (or any year). Example: Guest star Ian McShane's murderous Santa Claus, who still gives me nightmares, or Zachary Quinto, scary and great as a serial killer psychologist. In the end, the ever-terrific Jessica Lange, as a nun with serious guilt issues, grounds it all in reality (somehow) with a striking performance. But, seriously, that Santa Claus was terrifying.
