  1. 'Anderson' among syndicated shows debuting in fall 2011

Anderson Cooper’s new syndicated talk show, “Anderson,” debuts Sept. 12 in Chicago as part of a large group of new syndicated programming beginning this fall. The Syndicated Network Television Association (SNTA) provided this list of shows and their premiere dates and times. If the show isn’t new, like “Anderson,” these are repeat episodes. (Sorry, I always have to explain how syndication works for my mother.)

  3. 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' recap: 'Frank's Pretty Woman'

Now that the “Sunny” writers don’t have to improvise around Dee Reynolds’ baby bump this season, “Sunny” fans may find themselves wondering, “Why is Mac the fat one now?”

  5. For Chicago cabbie, backseat is a trove of art

Dmitry Samarov, like Travis Bickle, is God's lonely man, cruising the streets of Chicago, watching for your arm to shoot out and beckon him, taking note of the odd, offhanded things you say after you climb into his cab.

  7. 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' recap: 'Frank's Brother'

Frank’s brother Geno pays the Gang a visit this week. Again, this week’s episode lacked much depth or originality. The entire story revolved around Frank and Geno’s flashbacks, making everything one- dimensional. I almost didn’t want to write this recap, but I have hope in future "Sunny" episodes. So in this week’s recap, we’ll try to highlight the best of it.

  11. Revenge of the Electric Car

Not so long ago, thousands of new electric cars were destroyed by the same car companies that built them. It was strange to watch as General Motors discontinued the EV1, an all-electric automotive car that people like Danny DeVito were raving about. Listening to him describe how it felt driving it, reminded me of when I saw Oprah Winfrey talk about the first time she test drove a Rolls-Royce. I remember her saying it felt like she was floating above the roads.
