Nicole Kidman, 'Australia'

( 20th Century Fox ) For this sprawling epic, Kidman, 41, reunites with Baz Luhrmann, who directed her to her first Oscar nomination for "Moulin Rouge!" (2001). Kidman, a winner the following year for "The Hours," has had a string of near misses ("The Interpreter") and downright flops ("The Invasion") since then. While Jude Law, as her love interest in "Cold Mountain" (2003), got a nod and supporting player Renee Zellweger won, Kidman was snubbed. Now, with this, the most expensive movie made Down Under, she could be back in the running. |
