Andrew
Softball
Class rank: 1 of 530.
Athletics: Three-time all-Southwest Suburban Conference; three-time Illinois Coaches Association All-State; Tribune All-State special mention.
Academics: 34 on ACT; National Merit Commended Student; Illinois State Scholar; more than 170 hours of community service.
College: Wisconsin. I'll be playing softball there, but I also love the campus, environment, other athletics and academics.
Major: Undecided, but most likely pursuing either engineering or pre-health.
Dream job: Owning a bakery in Ocean City, N.J., with my sister.
Role models: My parents. They balance each other out perfectly and have given up so much time and energy for my sister, my brother and me. Plus, they never do anything half-heartedly and are always there for me, no matter what.
I'd like to have dinner with: Derek Jeter.
If I could trade places with one person for a day, it would be: Jenna Dewan. She's married to Channing Tatum. Who wouldn't want to switch places with her?!
Bucket list: Travel to Europe and spend a few weeks in Spain, go bungee jumping/skydiving, go parasailing while on a cruise in the Bahamas.
Favorite movie: "She's the Man."
Favorite TV show: "One Tree Hill."
Last book you read for fun: "The Vincent Brothers" by Abbi Glines.
On my iPod: Virtually everything — pop, '80s rock, country.
Pet: The only pet I've ever had was a fish when I was about 10, and it died in a week.
Favorite sporting event: Pittsburgh Steelers football games!
Cubs or Sox: Neither. Go Pirates! But if I had to choose, I'd say Cubs.
Hobbies: Listening to music, spending time with out-of-state family, coaching, riding four-wheelers at my cabin in Pennsylvania, working out.
Most people don't know I: was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Tinley Park when I was 12.
Best high school sports memory: Winning conference my sophomore year; the school's first softball conference title since 1985. We have now won three in a row!
One word to describe your high school experience: Eventful.
