Laurence Olivier garnered 14 Oscar nominations, with two wins for best actor and best picture for 1948's "Hamlet." He also received two honorary awards including a statuette and certificate.

Wife Vivian Leigh won a best actress award for "Gone With the Wind" in 1940 and later another best actress award in 1952 for "A Streetcar Named Desire."
