  1. Couric's First Night: Yep, That's a Newscast

    Zap2It.com
I should confess that I'm neither a close follower of Katie Couric's career (if I have the TV on in the morning, it's probably tuned to ESPN) nor a regular viewer of network evening news. So I come into watching her first night as anchor of the "CBS...

  3. 'My Date With Drew'

No matter how meaningless, scary or banal someone else's dream may seem to you, once you've seen "My Date With Drew," you will be forced to grudgingly, reluctantly admit that the single-minded pursuit and implementation of that dream is still an admirable thing.

Hollywood, the site of so many blockbusters, is also the home of the annual Los Angeles Film Festival, which champions cinema's more independent cousins. Zap2it will be on hand for all 11 days to chat with stars and celebrities, consume lobster and martinis and hopefully watch whichever film will become the next "March of the Penguins" or "Sideways."

  15. 'Super Size Me'

If it's true that we are what we eat, then for one unappetizing month last summer filmmaker Morgan Spurlock was a mountain of lard. Not just any lard, mind you, but McDonald's lard — a trembling, nauseated, flatulent mountain of beef slathered with special sauce, squeezed between sesame-seed buns, topped off with countless fries and washed down with gallons of sugared soda. In his bouncy, oft-entertaining documentary "Super Size Me," Spurlock reveals how and why a seemingly rational individual would engage in such extreme eating, becoming, in essence, the embodiment of McLard.
